Veolia Joins Baltimore Clean Corps

Employees from Veolia’s District Heating and Cooling network joined Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and the city’s Sustainability Coordinator, Alice Kennedy, on Saturday, October 24th, to help launch the Baltimore Clean Corps. The Clean Corps encourages neighborhoods and businesses to make a difference through trash and litter cleanups, tree planting and general beautification efforts. Veolia is proud to be the first Clean Corps Business Partner!

The Veolia team in Baltimore is doing its part to support the program as more than 35 employees and representatives from the Environmental Review Board and the Mayor’s Fellows united at the Central Avenue steam plant on Friday, October 30th, cementing the company’s commitment through a beautification and team-building event. The staff focused its attention on cleaning both the inside and outside of the steam generation facility. Veolia is committed to conducting quarterly cleanup events to support the city and the community.
