Dear customers and business partners:
First and foremost, I hope that you and your families are safe and healthy during this global pandemic. No matter what part of the country you live in, you are a valued client and partner, and on behalf of myself and all of my colleagues at Veolia, we wish you well. Our number one priority is the health and safety of our employees, customers and business associates. We have taken the necessary measures to ensure that our employees are trained in COVID-19 related precautions and defensive actions to prevent exposure to the virus.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, all of us are facing unprecedented challenges in our personal and professional lives. Please rest assured that Veolia is open for business and will support you and your company's environmental service and emergency needs. We are continuously training our employees and following the recommended CDC guidelines to prevent further spread of this virus.
We are open for business:
Our offices:
Non-essential department personnel are working remotely. We are available via phone and email.
Control:
We have implemented procedures to promptly identify and isolate potentially infectious individuals.
Facilities and Service Centers:
We will continue to provide all services to our customers, as well as responding to specific customer needs that are related to any COVID-19 challenges.
Travel:
All non-essential employee travel has been postponed until further notice. We are using digital and virtual collaboration tools instead of having large face-to-face meetings.
Safety:
We have specific training webinars for employees, and follow CDC and OSHA guidelines specific to PPE, disinfection, decontamination, hygiene, social distancing, and preventative actions to protect against the virus. Our teams are equipped with the proper PPE and disinfecting agents. In addition, we have increased the frequency and scope of cleaning at our office locations, facilities, equipment and vehicles.
Site Visits:
We are coordinating with each customer a service schedule that fits within their facilities COVID-19 containment action plan. We recognize the challenges that our customers face in regard to how to manage your pandemic action plan within the workplace, let alone in a production facility.
How you can prepare for service
Check your waste inventory and accumulation start dates. Ensure compliance with 90-day storage dates, labeling, markings, container integrity, segregation and containment requirements. You may need to have a conversation with your regulatory agency about your specific situation.
Set up the area to respect the 6 to 10 ft social distancing recommendations. Choose a location and process on where and how to exchange paperwork throughout and at the end of the job.
Plan ahead for any eventuality. Has your waste changed due to changes in production, do you have new waste streams, what new services do you foresee needing, and how does your facility need to be cleaned prior to your employees returning to offices and plants?
Call us with any questions regarding your financial situation. We understand the challenges many small businesses may face in the upcoming months.
