The wastewater treatment plant that Veolia North America operates in Cle Elum, Wash., has received the 2019 Outstanding Performance Award from the Washington State Department of Ecology for its record of 100 percent compliance with federal safety regulations.
Veolia North America has operated the plant in Cle Elum since 2003, and in that time has distinguished itself by being fully compliant with federal environmental requirements under the EPA's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System. The plant has achieved this distinction over each of the past 12 years, and in 2019 was one of only 125 out of 300 plants in Washington State to do so.
