Rhode Island Treatment Plants Recognized for Operational Excellence

The plants in Smithfield and Cranston are both operated and maintained by Veolia North America

Two Rhode Island wastewater treatment plants operated and maintained by Veolia North American have been recognized for their dedication to safety and 100 percent regulatory compliance by the Rhode Island Clean Water Association. The plants in the towns of Cranston and Smithfield were each given the 2020 Platinum Award for going three years or more with 100 percent permit compliance with safety and efficiency regulations. Veolia's operations teams at both facilities partner closely with their respective communities to make sure homes and businesses receive safe, reliable wastewater treatment services.
