Get all that "Yuck" out of your house: VNA partners with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District to collect household hazardous waste

UrbanMilwaukee.com: What Happens to All The “Yuck” After You Drop It Off?
Experts from Veolia North America and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District discuss the successful household hazardous waste partnership between the two organizations and the importance of proper disposal.

Since 1997, Veolia North America and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District have helped collect more than 22 million pounds of hazardous chemicals and materials from area homes and businesses. By coordinating regularly scheduled "Drop-Off Days," VNA and MMSD encourage residents to scour their homes for old paint cans, aerosol cans and other hazardous items that can't be discarded as normal trash, and drop them off at household hazardous waste drop-off sites. Urban Milwaukee produced an in-depth look at the partnership between the VNA and MMSD, and how it has helped benefit the Greater Milwaukee community.
