Veolia employee helps provide thousands of meals for families impacted by COVID-19

Chandrasekar Venkatraman, a senior program manager for Veolia based in Rialto, Calif., has spent the past several months working with the United Sikh Mission to deliver daily hot meals to 1,500 families in need in San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges to families struggling with the economic impact of the crisis, which is why Venkatraman has been helping to deliver more than 14,000 meals since the outbreak took hold in March. As President of the India Association of the Inland Empire, he has also been coordinating fundraising efforts to continue with the program, which also provides relief for dozens of homeless residents. In his role at Veolia, Venkatrman handles a portfolio of major engineering and construction projects, and he has received the full support of his supervisors as well as company leadership.
