A new [survey ](https://www.veolianorthamerica.com/media/press-releases/global-climate-survey-americans)conducted by Veolia North America, called the **Barometer of Ecological Transformation**, revealed that the impacts of climate change are becoming a reality for a majority of Americans -- and they are willing to take unprecedented action to preserve natural resources. Among the highlights:

- 61% of Americans are open to drinking recycled wastewater in the face of water shortages
- 74% would eat food grown using recycled water
- 82% would pay more to filter microplastics out of their drinking water.

The margin of error for the U.S. data is 1-2.2 percentage points.
