Asset Recovery & Decontamination

Veolia's Alaron Nuclear Services (Veolia) Asset Recovery program is based on waste minimization and cost savings for the customer.

Veolia will review and evaluate your inventory of contaminated and potentially contaminated equipment and components. These components may be recoverable assets, providing the radiological designations can be removed. On specific components which are candidates for recovery, Veolia will provide decontamination/free release and refurbishment services. This effectively removes these items from inventory of radioactive waste liability, and restores them as valuable assets to your company.

The restored equipment will then be returned for reuse as clean/non-contaminated equipment or, as a broker service provided by Veolia, sold on the open market as non-contaminated/used equipment. Veolia has successfully brokered several components under this program.

Through Veolia's Asset Recovery Program, your company will realize true recycling by recovering equipment for its original intended purpose as a non-radioactive item. This eliminates disposal and equipment replacement costs associated with having to scrap the equipment as radioactive waste.
