ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY ABOARD THE MPSV SWORDFISH

Veolia’s multi-purpose support vehicle (MPSV) Swordfish is DP2-rated and equipped with advanced technologies that enable our teams to complete your project as quickly, safely and accurately as possible. In 2015, the vessel received $10.5 million in upgrades, including a new surface diving system, an upgraded saturation diving system, dual 70 and 150 Te active heave compensated (AHC) cranes, and its own dedicated self-propelled hyperbaric lifeboat (SPHL) and hyperbaric rescue facility (HRF).
 
Specifically designed for saturation diving, subsea construction, and rig remediation or decommissioning, the modern-design of this vessel provides economical fuel consumption and optimal maneuverability, stability and station keeping.

  • 18-person self-propelled hyperbaric lifeboat (SPHL) and hyperbaric rescue facility (HRF), updated in 2015
  • Hydramarine cranes, updated in 2015: 
    HMC-150T active heave compensated, knucke boom crane: 3000 meter-rated; and HMC-70T active heave compensated, knucke boom crane
  • 2 x auxiliary cranes
  • 2 x capstan/mooring winches
  • 2 x tuggerwinches
  • 4 x cargo securing winches
  • Optional Forum XLS heavy-duty work class ROV, with 150HP, 900 kgf vertical thrust, depth rating of 3,000 m, 200 kg payload capacity and 350 m excursion rating.
