MILWAUKEE, June 23, 2011 – Veolia Environmental Services North America Corp. (VESNA) is pleased to announce its sponsorship, for the second year in a row, of the Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra (OCO). This year, the $10,000 in funding will primarily be used to support the Lake Country Orchestra (LCO), the community/amateur ensemble of the OCO. The first of four concerts in the LCO series will be held August 21, 2011, at the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts.

“We are once again eager and proud to be part of the Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra’s Concert Series, said Roger Koehler, VP of Purchasing for VESNA. “As a local company, supporting cultural growth in our region is very important to us and the OCO provides the perfect opportunity to showcase the abundant talent we have right here in Lake Country.”
The OCO’s orchestras provide the local arts community with an opportunity to enrich Lake Country with engaging music performance. “We are very fortunate and excited to have Veolia serve as an OCO sponsor for a second season. The passion and commitment of local companies and members of the community sustain and invigorate the Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra projects in our area,” said OCO Music Director, Roberta Carpenter.
The LCO concert on August 21 will feature both light classic and Pops works, with a special outreach to children to participate. Players in the community are invited to rehearse and perform with the LCO during the August 21 concert. More information for interested musicians is available online at

The OCO is producing both CD and DVD recordings of the 2010 Veolia-sponsored debut concert of the professional orchestra, including two pieces written for Lake Country.
The Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra’s mission is to lead, enrich, and inspire the community with vital orchestral events of musical excellence.
