Veolia to operate Ireland’s largest biomass plant

Veolia recently won a 15-year contract to operate a 42.5 megawatt, wood-fueled biomass plant in Ireland, The plant will produce enough electricity to supply 68,000 homes and is part of Ireland’s plans to meet 40% of its power needs with renewables by 2020.
