Veolia to operate 215 MW biomass plant in Belgium

Veolia won a 15-year contract to operate a new 100% biomass plant in the Port of Ghent that will produce 215 MW of electricity. Compared to a coal-fired plant, the biomass project will avoid the CO2 emissions equivalent to those required to heat 240,000 homes in the area.
