Veolia desalination technology reduces footprint in Abu Dhabi

As part of a pilot program in Masdar, Abu Dhabi, Veolia technology has reduced a desalination plant’s electrical consumption by 7 percent, and identified additional savings generated by pretreatment design. Combined, these are expected to save 25% on civil works costs, and contribute to Masdar’s Renewable Energy Water Desalination Program’s long-term goal of implementing renewable energy-powered desalination plants.
