Kansas City district energy plant achieves net zero waste

Coal ash and other materials that line the plant floor at Veolia’s district energy plant in Kansas City are now being put to beneficial use, instead of going to waste. Working with a local non-profit, Veolia sends large amounts of coal ash to construction sites, where it is used to help stabilize the land.
