On August 3rd 2015, President Obama and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) unveiled the final Clean Power Plan – a historic step in reducing carbon pollution linked to harming human health and advancing climate change. As the first national standard addressing carbon pollution, the Clean Power Plan seeks to take real action on climate change  –  cutting carbon pollution from the power sector 32 percent below 2005 levels by 2030, while advancing clean energy innovation, development and deployment.
