KOH REGENERATION FOR HF ALKYLATION IN PETROLEUM REFINING

Recovering valuable byproducts and recycling materials that would otherwise be discarded as wastes, while meeting ever-stringent environmental requirements, is critical for economic sustainability. Veolia’s centralized recycling, processing and manufacturing facilities deliver guaranteed performance while reducing costs and meeting the specific water treatment and recovery needs of industry.
 
Veolia North America owns and operates two centralized recycling, processing and manufacturing facilities to provide potassium hydroxide (KOH) regeneration services to refiners with HF Alkylation facilities. The benefits of this “tolling” approach to byproduct recovery include:

HARDTAC® CRYSTALLIZATION TECHNOLOGY 

Veolia utilizes the HARDTAC® Process, a proprietary crystallization methodology, in its byproduct recovery process. HARDTAC stands for High Aspect Ratio Draft Tube Agitated Crystallizer. The unique design yields larger particles and higher solids concentration than conventional crystallization processes, providing environmentally-friendly residuals.
