“VESNA is honored to sponsor the Debut Concert of the Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra and contribute to the growth of this special community,” said Roger Koehler, VP of Purchasing for VESNA. “The OCO provides an outstanding opportunity for local residents and businesses to come together to actively promote cultural growth in our area.”
This project enables the OCO to continue to bring Lake Country performance excellence and musical outreach. “We are grateful to Veolia for their support of the Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra project and our community,” states OCO Music Director, Roberta Carpenter.
The Debut Concert will feature Rimma Sushanskaya, an internationally accomplished violin soloist, who will be playing the ‘Madrid’ Stradivarius violin that was once owned and played by Benjamin Franklin's wife. The Orchestra will also perform two premiere compositions written for Lake Country, and Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. Tickets are available at the Oconomowoc Arts Center Box Office, by calling 262-560-3172, or online at: www.theoac.net
A Master Class will also be held with violinist Sushanskaya and a special edition of The Score Came Second... series (Music Appreciation) with guests of the Debut Concert. More information is available at www.oconchamberorch.org
